New Year’s resolutions for your team!

The year 2018 is almost here, and now is the time to review 2017 and create your vision plan! This past year flew by, and it may have been your best or worst year yet. Whichever one it was, now you can start fresh this new year! Refocusing is so important to keep your business going strong. Scratching what you did last year and practicing something new may be the concept for you! Here are some ways, as an employer, to go about getting a vision for your work team!

  1. Thank your team and celebrate the new year!

Having a team of people who have the same heart and vision is so vital to growth. Thank your team for their hard work and effort in 2017. This will propel your team forward, knowing they are valuable and appreciated! Celebrate together all the victories your company has seen, no matter how small or how big!

  1. Take time to review and learn!

Now that you have celebrated, it’s time to review your year with your team. Schedule a meeting with your employees to review every high and low of the year. This will allow you to learn from your mistakes and grow. It will also give you a vision for what did actually work well and how to expand those practices into every area of your business. Reviewing your past year will help your team walk into this new year with purpose and a new perspective!

  1. Get a long-term plan!

Create a set of practical goals that will last not just for 2018, but for years to come. Don’t be afraid of planning for long-term success because you can always adjust your processes as you go! Have a team just for this as well. First, create short term goals at the beginning of every month and then plan out further dates accordingly!

  1. Get an EAP (Employee Assistance Program)!

Start out the new year with an amazing employee benefit of an EAP! An employee assistance program like ours at Thrive is a game changer to your employees’ health.
